Biology Units

Embryonic Stem Cells
The main focus of this course is for you to become more familiar with cells (animal, plant, bacterial...) and how life works. At some point in middle school, you learned about cells. While You may be able to recall some cell organelles and their function within the cell, it is important in this Biology course to look further in depth into the world of cells and how life works.

This course includes a practical approach to the study of life sciences. Development of laboratory skills and concept formation is stressed and students are expected to be able to apply principles learned in the classroom to practical situations. Students are required to take the PA Department of Education Biology Keystone Exam at the end of this course.
